"Bow Tie Baby Shower"

Last weekend, Crew & Cate Events, had the pleasure of styling a baby shower for our friend Dayna! She wanted to go with a “bow tie” theme and somehow incorporate butterflies throughout because they were sentimental to her. So, I will let the photos do the talking! Enjoy!

Instead of cards, Dayna and her husband Doug wanted friends and family to bring Nursery books that were placed in a basket upon arrival.
We made this mobile of poms and lanterns and origami butterflies to go above the baby’s crib. We also had origami butterflies placed on the wall in this clubhouse to look as if they were fluttering about. Dayna could later take them home to decorate her nursery with!

Each guest got to take home a lolly bag filled with sweets from the party.

Dayna brought her adorable Yorkie to celebrate with her! How cute is she!!!?

Congrats Doug and Dayna!! Thank you so much for the opportunity to plan your baby shower! We can’t wait to meet your new little guy when he makes his arrival. 🙂

A Nursery Gift That Will Improve Your Baby’s Air Quality!

I found the sweetest little idea for a nursery gift that will not only look great in any nursery but will also take bad toxins out of the air for your precious baby! I saw this post on Pepper Design Blog, and had to share with my readers.

Green Your Air was started by two lovely women who created these beautiful potted plants made from bamboo fiber, rice husks, wheat straw, and corn stalks. Nontoxic, safe for any use, and they can biodegrade in 2-3 years after discarding. The plants are from a local nursery and they only use plants that are made to take bad toxins from the air! What a great idea and how cute do they look in a nursery!!

Here We Grow Again!

If you were wondering why I haven’t blogged much lately, or been on facebook, or really done anything; it’s because I’ve been extremely tired, lazy, nausious, and un-motivated! We are expecting again!!! Baby number 4 is due October 9th; I am in my 3rd month of the pregnancy and finally feeling like I have enough energy to type this. 🙂

We are feeling like it’s going to be a girl this time, but are excited for our growing family either way. I haven’t picked up my camera in probably a year, so the photo above is from my last pregnancy with Owen. I was eight months in this picture. Looking back, I looked great, and I don’t think I’m going to be so lucky this time around. 😦

Anyway, looking forward to the Spring and all the great things that this pregnancy will bring. New life really gets me motivated for change! And as I’ve grown closer to God over the last year, I feel it’s definitly time for change.

Happy Spring!

Much love,

Aubree
