Little Birdy Baby Shower

This month, I am obsessing over Baby Showers since I have two on the books for this Spring! I love this “Little Birdy” themed party seen on Amy Atlas’ Blog.

It was submitted by MaddyK Events. I love the cake, and the macaroon tower, and the raspberry desserts! The two birds = a baby theme is so creative! I will have to keep this in mind! 😉

Does this not make you CRAVE Spring?!!!

Congrats to our Baby Shower Winner!!!

I would like to say Thank You to the three people who commented on our Baby Shower Give-Away! Thank you for supporting us and being as excited as we are about our new adventure.

As for the Winner of the Baby Shower, since technically there were only two seperate showers that participated, we will plan, create, and implement both of your Baby Showers for free!!! I will send details to your emails shortly. Thanks again and we promise not to let you down. 😉

Pink and Orange Tea Party!

This party was featured on Kara’s Party Ideas, and came all the way from Kuwait! It is definitely one of the cutest tea parties I have ever laid eyes on! Pink and Orange seem to be very popular party colors right now. I love the bright colored vases and decor used throughout!

This was the Mommies’ lounge; how fun is this!?
I also noticed that the use of pillows for decoration has become very popular this year. Love these cushions!

This is gorgeous cake work! I also love that it’s not overly big. I have found that when you have too many sweets, they usually go un-eaten. Therefore, small is good!

Favours…

Well done!!!

Valentines Dinner Party *Featured Party*

This week’s beautiful party feature goes to Courtney Dial of Pizzazzerie! She has left behind some beautiful inspiration for your Valentine’s Dinner Party this year!! I love how she used different bible verses on each guests place settings, and the how she cut hearts from rice crispy treats dipped them in Pink Chocolate Melts, and she also cut hearts of Mozzerela for her Salad. Very clever! Beautiful work Courtney!! Thanks for the inspirational ideas. 😉

All pictures are from Pizzazzerie. Check out her blog for more great ideas!!

Photoboard For Our Upcoming Tutus And Toadstools Birthday Party

In April, we are planning a Tutus And Toadstools 1st Birthday Party. We are doing a lot of the custom work ourselves, and it is going to be so cute! The colors will be pink and green, but we are incorporating a lot of the ideas seen below in these photo inspirations. There will be many tutorials coming soon, such as a Toadstool for toddlers to sit on, the wreath that is hanging from the tree, the ribbon chair back covers, and the tutu table cover that we will use on our dessert table. In the meantime, here is what has inspired us!

The tutu table cloth is from a “Tutus and Ties” themed party by Keri King. Our colors are going to be pink and green instead of pink and orange. We will have pink and green ribbon wands for all the kids, each girl will get her very own tutu and fairy wing set, and each little boy will get a fishing pole to take home with him! Our location is in a beautiful park with a creek for fishing, and trails for an enchanting fairy hunt, where each child will find items in marked trails to put in their very own Terrarium!
The tutu above is the one that the Birthday girl will be wearing, from Tiara’s Tutus. We will also be utilizing these adorable grass place mats in a very creative way.
There will be Spring flowers and Butterflies abound!
As for the dessert table, we were inspired by a few photos from Kate Landers, Woodland Fairy Party. We found this baby fairy fondant cake topper on Etsy, that we will use for the top of the Birthday Girl’s cake. Isn’t it so cute?! We will have a “Make Your Own Trail Mix” Station, and little Toadstool cupcakes, as well as a few other snazzy treats.

Once the party is over, we will be selling the toadstools in our Etsy shop for a VERY competitive price! So if Fairy’s or Toadstools are in your next party….email us crewandcate@gmail.com. They are first come, first serve!!!

Spicy Shrimp Fettuccine Dinner :)

I made this delicious shrimp recipe with just a few things I had in the pantry. It’s my own creation, and it was surprisingly delicious!!! It only took about 20 minutes to make and my Husband loved it! Here is the recipe…

Ingredients:

  • Fettuccine
  • Small carton (Half Pint) of Heavy Whipping Cream
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • Garlic
  • 1 can Italian stewed tomatoes
  • 1 bag of peeled, deveined, tail off small shrimp
  • Cayenne Pepper
  • McCormick’s Cajun Seasoning
  • Parsley flakes

Boil the fettuccine in a large pot of water until al dente. (I’m a Rachael Ray Fan 🙂 In the mean time, in a large saute pan, pour in heavy whipping cream and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Add in parmesan cheese and garlic, stirring until well blended. Then add in 1 can of stewed tomatoes and reduce heat to medium. Add seasoning (eyeball it, about 1 or 2 teaspoons of each) and shrimp. Cook on medium until shrimp is opaque. Then drain pasta and pour shrimp and sauce over the pasta. Mix well, and enjoy!
